On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the “Union Francophone de l’Audit Interne” (UFAI) and under the aegis of The International Organization of La Francophonie (IOF), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in Lebanon in collaboration with the Union Francophone de l’Audit Interne will host the 13th international conference of the UFAI dubbed “Audit Horizons” to be held in Beirut on October 15 and 16, 2018.
This international event is a biennial conference held in a different country every 2 years. In 2016, the event took place in Paris (France). This year, IIA Lebanon, which is the Lebanese chapter of IIA Global, has the honor of organizing this conference for the first time in the Middle East.
Audit Horizons will be held at L’Ecole Superieure des Affairs (IFG-ESA) in Beirut and will cover novelties and best practices in the fields of Governance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Cyber Security, Blockchain, Compliance Audit, Culture Audit, Crisis Management, Continuous Auditing etc. The Conference will host numerous prominent local and international speakers who will make their contributions in the French or English language (interpretation to English or French is available).
This event is expected to attract professional delegations from the IIA chapters of 17 francophone countries including Belgium, Burkina Faso, Congo, Canada, Ivory Coast, France, Gabon, Guinea, Haiti, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Senegal, Switzerland, Togo, and Tunisia, in addition to executive and distinguished guests from other countries namely USA, Austria, and others. On the local level of Lebanon, it will receive internal auditors, governance and finance professionals, academicians, and guest of honors from the private and public sectors (Lebanese and Foreigners), who aim to further promote a sound corporate governance across the Lebanese institutions.
